Born in Rhiwbina, Wales in 1946; B.A. Honours from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London, 1968; Ph.D., University of London, 1969-1972; came to Canada in 1974 to work as an assistant professor at McGill University; accepted a position in the Fine Arts Dept. of the University of British Columbia in 1976; has written books on architect William Wilkins, on Neo-classicism, on architects Francis Rattenbury and Robert Mills, and on the architecture of the University of British Columbia....
